Tips & honest limits
- Good light helps. Face the sun or use a torch; iPhone Safari often cannot control the camera flash from the web — that is an OS limit, not a bug in this page.
- Rear camera. We ask for the back camera when the phone allows it.
- Demo detection. After a short scan you see a simulated amber box and a randomish confidence (about 70–90%). It is not machine learning and does not claim a real queen ID. Real ML can replace the stub later.
- Privacy. Video and hive-log notes stay on this phone. We do not upload frames.
- Gloves. Buttons are large on purpose. Tap Allow camera, then Allow on the Safari prompt. If you already denied once, Safari will not ask again until you change it in Settings.
- Still look yourself. Marked queens, movement, and experience beat any app — especially this demo.
